fischer founds Romanian subsidiary

The fischer Group of Companies has acquired its former importer Profix S.R.L. and is now running it as an independent subsidiary. The fixing specialist is increasing its presence in the Eastern European growth market with fischer Romania S.R.L. It is the 47th subsidiary of the fischer Group of Companies.

Social media – fischer launches five channels and its own blog

The fischer Group of Companies repositions itself on social media. From now on, the fixings specialist is uniformly present on YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Xing. At the same time fischer offers a story-based blog.

fischer increases turnover to over 800 million euro for the first time

The fischer Group of Companies looks back at a successful 2017 financial year. With a gross turnover of 812 million euro, the family business from Waldachtal in the Northern Black Forest exceeded the good previous year’s figures (745 million euro) by 67 million euro (plus nine per cent). Adjusted to allow for exchange rates, turnover even increased by two figures to 816 million euro (plus ten per cent). The company divisions belonging to fischer, fischer fixing systems, fischer automotive systems, fischertechnik, fischer Consulting and LNT Automation all achieved good growth in turnover.

fischer establishes second endowed professorship

Renowned scientist Prof. Benjamin Kromoser has been researching “bio-based construction” since 1st February 2018 at the Vienna University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences with the support of fischer. fischer is therefore involved with two research projects running in parallel that are unique worldwide. The Group of Companies has already been financing the endowed professorship “innovative strengthening methods with fixings” at the University of Stuttgart since 1st January 2017.
