How fischer is rethinking sponsorship

Why a wall plug is now taking flight

A logo on a jersey, the advertising hoarding or a ski – sponsorship has traditionally been, above all, a question of visibility. fischer is going one step further: with a new sponsorship concept, the group is not only raising the profile of its brand, but is also bringing a specific product – the DuoPower universal wall plug – onto the ski jumps of top international athletes.

During the 2026/27 ski jumping season, the fischer DuoPower will be visible on the ski jumpers’ skis alongside the fischer logo. The universal wall plug thus becomes an unusual ambassador for the brand – and makes it clear at first glance what fischer stands for: developing innovations that help people get ahead in their everyday lives.

A product becomes part of the sponsorship
The idea behind this is deliberately simple yet unusual: why should sponsorship stop at a brand logo?

With the DuoPower, fischer is bringing one of its best-known product innovations directly into the sporting arena. With every jump, not only is the fischer brand visible, but also a product that stands for technological development and versatile application.

The DuoPower is more than just an eye-catching motif. It conveys a specific product story: the universal wall plug adapts to different building materials, thereby enabling reliable fixings in a wide variety of substrates.

This concept of adaptability can also be applied to sponsorship: fischer does not simply make use of the existing sporting platform, but actively develops it further.

Making innovation visible
For fischer, innovation is not an abstract concept. For decades, the company has been developing products and solutions that respond to specific requirements. With this new sponsorship approach, this commitment is now also reflected in the brand’s communications.

The ski jump becomes a platform for communicating innovation. Instead of a generic advertising message, the focus is on a genuine fischer product. This creates a connection between the product, the brand and the sport that is surprising and memorable.

This is precisely what gives the concept its unique character: sponsorship is seen not merely as a means of reaching a wider audience, but as a space for creative brand presentation.

When technology and top-class performance come together
Ski jumping provides the perfect setting for this. The sport combines technical precision with human excellence. Athletes rely on their equipment, must master the smallest details and, at the same time, have the courage to push themselves to their limits.

With more than 20 athletes from nine nations, fischer will have an international presence in the coming season. The team includes, amongst others, Karl Geiger, Johan André Forfang, Jan Hörl, Dawid Kubacki, Piotr Żyła, Silje Opseth and Anna Odine Strøm. The squad is complemented by young talents whose journey to the world’s elite fischer supports over the long term.

But it is not just the names that make this commitment special. What matters is the idea behind it: an innovative brand does not merely seek a stage – it helps to shape it.

Focusing on the next generation
This also applies to the long-term focus of the partnership, which runs until 2030. Alongside established world-class athletes, fischer supports young ski jumpers on their journey.

After all, innovation also means looking ahead. New ideas emerge where people are prepared to question the status quo, try out new things and develop further. It is precisely this attitude that connects fischer with sport.

A fresh take on sponsorship
With this new concept, fischer demonstrates how sponsorship can be transformed: away from mere brand placement, towards an independent, product-related brand concept.

The fischer DuoPower on the ski jump is a visible symbol of this. It surprises, attracts attention and, at the same time, tells a story about the company and its products.
