With the innovative FGW 90F setting tool from fischer, nails can be driven into wood quickly, easily and safely. The gas-powered power tool enables economical working, shortens installation times and ensures uniform, precise fastening – without the need for additional tools or fixings.

Whether roof battens, timber frame construction or façade cladding: wood is an increasingly popular building material, not only for traditional applications such as flooring, decking or ceiling linings, but also in multi-storey residential and commercial construction. Tradespeople therefore benefit from a reliable tool that covers all types of wood and wood-based materials and enables fast, secure fastenings. This is exactly what the fischer FGW 90F delivers.

Weighing 3.8 kg and featuring compact dimensions (L 390 mm × W 108 mm × H 381 mm), the tool sits ergonomically in the hand, allowing users to get to work immediately. The magazine holds up to 60 nails, which are secured by a safety clip to prevent them from falling out and can be quickly reinserted. The grippy tool nose and a driving energy of 90 joules enable precise nail driving in all directions – overhead installations are also easy to carry out. The FGW 90F processes ring shank and smooth shank nails from 50 to 90 mm, including D-head and full-head nails. This allows use in solid timber, laminated timber, plywood, particleboard and fibreboard, as well as veneer materials. The depth adjustment wheel enables nails to be driven flush or fully countersunk. For visible surfaces, a protective cap can be fitted to prevent pressure marks. The tool operates reliably at temperatures from –7 °C to +50 °C.

The combination of gas cartridges and a lithium-ion battery ensures maximum efficiency. One gas cartridge allows for more than 1,100 fixings, while the powerful battery delivers over 8,000 nail drives per charge. The LED status indicator keeps users informed of the tool status at all times. If the battery does run out, a charging time of just 10 minutes is sufficient for a further 300 nail drives. A full charge takes 90 minutes. The battery is also compatible with other fischer direct fastening tools, such as the FGC 100 for driving standard and high-performance nails into concrete and steel, increasing flexibility on site.

The setting tool is low-maintenance and requires servicing only after around 20,000 fixings. For storage, fischer offers an adjustable hook (belt or rafter hook) as well as the fischer XL-Boxx – a robust case for transport and storage. Accessories such as the battery, charger, gas cartridges, nails and a cleaning kit (cleaner, lubricating oil and rubber sealing rings) are included.

fischer places great importance on service quality: repairs are carried out within 72 hours, including inspection and cleaning. Spare parts remain available for at least five years after production has ended. fischer supports its tools throughout their entire life cycle – from maintenance through to proper disposal.
