New fischer FHD II hollow drill bit on the market

Powerful without stirring up dust

Waldachtal

With the new FHD II hollow drill, fischer is launching an advanced solution for dust-free drilling and simultaneous drill hole cleaning. Extracting the drill dust directly at the source protects the users’ health and ensures that anchors achieve their guaranteed load-bearing capacities – eliminating errors caused by manual cleaning. The second generation of the fischer hollow drill impresses with increased efficiency, flexibility and durability. The new solid carbide head extends service life – especially when hitting reinforcement. In addition, the FHD II can be dismantled without tools, simplifying cleaning, maintenance and replacement of parts.

Chemical and mechanical anchors only achieve their guaranteed load-bearing capacities once drill dust has been carefully removed from the drill hole. During this cleaning process, the user must be protected from inhalable dust. The new fischer FHD II hollow drill ensures professional and health-conscious use. This efficient problem solver enables drilling and cleaning in a single step – for mechanical anchors approved for use in reinforced concrete, concrete, solid brick and solid sand-lime brick, as well as suitable for natural stone. Dust generation on the construction site is noticeably reduced. This protects the health of users. In addition, the clean working environment increases productivity on the construction site – this guarantees and accelerates project success.
With its suction drilling system at the drill tip and its cylindrical casing, the FHD II extracts dust directly at the source and cleans drill holes professionally. Its use increases both safety and efficiency in the approval-compliant installation of mechanical anchors with the corresponding European Technical Assessment (ETA). Compared to conventional drilling methods, the FHD II saves a significant amount of time when installing anchors.

The new generation of fischer hollow drill bits also offers improved convenience and flexibility. The connection option for standard SDS Plus / SDS Max hammer drills ensures versatility. Two new interchangeable connectors are compatible with all drill sizes: the FHD II C is used for the SDS Plus version and drill diameters from 12 to 20 mm; the FHD II Max C is used for the SDS Max drills in the diameter range of 20 to 32 mm. This enables flexible usage and maximises versatility in everyday construction site work. The FHD II C and FHD II Max C connectors are reusable and can be used for up to seven drill bits over their lifetime. In the event of a blockage, the FHD II can also be easily disassembled and cleaned – minimising downtime.

The solid carbide head with four cutting edges guarantees a long service life and excellent performance, especially in reinforced concrete – ideal for economical use. Wear marks on the drill head indicate the PGM wear limit and drill tolerance for anchoring. The centring tip guarantees precise positioning and prevents slippage on smooth surfaces. The PGM certification for approval-compliant drill holes in accordance with the specifications of the Prüfgemeinschaft Mauerbohrer e.V. (PGM) guarantees precise drilling for secure fastenings. The hollow drill is available in diameters from 12 to 32 mm and in working lengths from 200 to 400 mm.
