The 2026 FIFA World Cup in the USA, Mexico, and Canada is history. But the focus is already on the upcoming major tournaments. For the 2034 FIFA World Cup in Saudi Arabia, 15 stadiums are currently being built – eleven new constructions and four modernized arenas. fischer is involved in many of these major projects. This allows the company group to further expand its international presence in one of the world's largest infrastructure programs in sports.

Major Projects in Saudi Arabia

The family-owned company provides solutions for significant construction projects, including the expansion of the King Fahd International Stadium in the capital Riyadh, the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium in Qiddiya City near Riyadh, the Jeddah Central Development Stadium in Jeddah, as well as the Aramco Stadium in Al Khobar. These buildings are part of a massive investment program by the host country, with several arenas already under construction and more to follow in the coming years.

A decades-long success story

For fischer, this is the continuation of a decades-long international success story. The company has already been involved in numerous stadiums that are considered landmarks of sports worldwide. This includes the legendary Azteca Stadium in Mexico City, where the opening match of the last World Cup took place. Pelé and Diego Maradona became world champions here, and some of the most legendary games in football history were played there.

Also among fischer’s references are the Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, the Estadio Monumental of the Argentine top club River Plate, the stadiums of Tottenham Hotspur and Everton in England, the arenas of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the famous “Bird’s Nest” Olympic Stadium in Beijing, as well as the Allianz Arena and the Olympic Stadium in Munich.
Installed with the company’s products in these stadiums are, among others, climate and ventilation systems, facades, technical infrastructure, reinforcement connections, and the stadium seats.

Strong Local Presence

Saudi Arabia is a key market for the corporate group. At the beginning of the year, fischer opened its own company in Riyadh. Additional locations are in Jeddah, Dammam – where production also takes place – and Tabuk. In addition to the stadium projects, fischer is involved in other prestigious constructions, such as the Jeddah Tower, the future tallest building in the world, the gigantic Red Sea Project, as well as the new King Salman International Airport, one of the most important air hubs in the Gulf region.
