With the establishment of new subsidiaries in Malaysia and Bulgaria, the company from the northern Black Forest is further expanding its global market presence. Malaysia is the 52nd and Bulgaria the 53rd operative subsidiary of the fastening expert. fischer is thus strengthening its direct presence in both South-East Asia and South-East Europe and moving even closer to its customers in key growth regions.

Ongoing internationalisation is a key component of fischer’s corporate development. In recent years, the company has continuously expanded its international presence, building up not only its sales structures but also its local production capacities. Following the establishment of a subsidiary in Saudi Arabia, Malaysia and Bulgaria now represent further steps along this path.

“The establishment of our 52nd and 53rd subsidiaries is a clear commitment to these dynamic regions,” says Prof. Klaus Fischer, owner of the fischer Group of Companies. “We want to be where the future is taking shape. With our direct on-the-ground presence, we can support our customers even better and establish our innovative solutions in these important future markets.”

The new subsidiary in Malaysia is based in the capital, Kuala Lumpur, and represents a further key building block in fischer’s expansion in Asia. Malaysia is one of the most important emerging markets in South-East Asia and offers long-term potential. The country is continuously investing in infrastructure, industry, energy and modern construction projects. For fischer, this opens up a wide range of application areas for fastening technology.

The new operative subsidiary complements fischer’s already strong presence in Asia. Only recently, the company commissioned a new production facility in India and expanded its manufacturing capacities in China. Furthermore, fischer has been manufacturing in Tây Ninh, Vietnam, since 2022. With local production and sales structures, the company is strengthening its competitiveness and increasing its flexibility in an increasingly dynamic global environment.

“Our focus is on sustainable and profitable growth,” says Prof. Klaus Fischer. “Through our new subsidiaries, we are establishing the necessary proximity to optimally meet complex requirements. In doing so, we are systematically expanding our regional market coverage and underlining our position as one of the leading global suppliers of fastening systems.”

fischer is also continuing to expand its presence in South-East Europe. The new operative subsidiary in Bulgaria is based in Sofia and is intended to further strengthen the company’s market activities in the region. The aim is to provide even more targeted support to customers, expand market development and actively drive growth in Europe’s Southeast.

Bulgaria is also one of the region’s emerging growth markets. Infrastructure projects, a growing construction sector and EU funding programmes are providing further impetus. The ports of Varna and Burgas reinforce the country’s importance for international logistics and trade flows. fischer intends to support this development with a stronger local presence and to expand its market activities in a targeted manner.

The focus is on improved local support, faster communication and decision-making processes, and a stronger commitment to long-term partnerships.

With these two new subsidiaries, fischer is consistently continuing its internationalisation. In addition to tapping into new markets, the primary aim is to be close to customers and to be able to respond quickly and flexibly to regional requirements. “Our internationalisation strategy is firmly geared towards meeting our customers’ needs and capitalising on market opportunities,” emphasises Alexander Bässler, Chief Executive Officer of the fischer Group of Companies. “With our new subsidiaries, we are laying the foundations for further growth whilst ensuring we remain close to the people who work with our products every day.”
