fischer launches new ClassicFast II screw generation

A classic reimagined: screws for optimal connections

Waldachtal

Fastening expert fischer is expanding its proven range of screws with the economical ClassicFast II series. The new generation of universally applicable chipboard screws scores highly in terms of cost efficiency. Their geometry and technology guarantee reliable force transmission, easy installation and long-lasting safety in a wide range of applications – including load-bearing wood connections – with CE marking based on EN 14592.

Whether in structural timber construction or interior design and furniture making, the new, economical ClassicFast II screws impress with their ease of insertion, reliable hold, long service life and high flexibility across a wide range of applications involving all common wood-based materials.

Technological advantages include a TX star recess drive, which enables a secure, form-fitting bit seat and maximum power transmission – ideal for powerful, low-wear screw connections and precise, efficient work. The blue passivation on zinc-plated steel also ensures long-lasting corrosion protection. The countersunk head with milling ribs on the screw can be easily sunk into wood and ensures a clean, visually appealing surface finish – a clear advantage, especially in visible areas such as furniture and interior design. An integrated shank cutter on the ≥ 70 mm long partial-thread variants reduces the screw-in torque – for easier, less strenuous and material-friendly installation. The tip and thread geometry of the ClassicFast II also makes it easier to screw into wood and guarantees secure wood-to-wood applications. CE conformity in accordance with European standard EN 14592 for pin-shaped fasteners in timber construction guarantees additional safety and confirms suitability for load-bearing applications.

The range includes suitable ClassicFast II screws for a wide variety of applications in all wood-based materials. Full-thread versions are ideal for load-bearing connections. Their continuous thread ensures particularly high pull-out resistance of tensile-stress applications of timber construction. Partially threaded versions enable precise joining of wooden elements in furniture and interior design, as well as a flawless appearance – for example, in panelling or skirting boards.

Application is extremely straightforward: simply countersink the screw flush with the surface of the wood – done. The ClassicFast II with full thread is available in diameters from 3 to 5 mm and lengths from 16 to 60 mm. Partial-thread sizes are available in diameters from 3 to 6 mm and lengths from 35 to 200 mm.
