fisco is attending the UIPT Summit – the world's most important mobility congress for local public transport – for the first time. As a part of the fischer Group of Companies, the fibre composite specialist will present its latest system solutions for a wide range of infrastructure applications worldwide at the event’s accompanying exhibition.

“The UITP Summit provides an excellent opportunity to discuss industry trends and our solutions with international players in the mobility sector,” says Günther Hirt, Managing Director of fisco GmbH. “We are looking forward to presenting our fibre composite innovations in the infrastructure sector, networking and gaining new impetus. Together, we are shaping the future of mobility.”

At the congress exhibition, FiRe construction profiles made of fi:resist will be presenting – manufactured in large series using the endless strand drawing process (pultrusion). This self-developed, fully inorganic glass fibre composite material fulfils the fire protection regulations for tunnels thanks to its unique properties, in particularly its fire resistance, with A1 certification in accordance with DIN EN ISO 13501. As the first glass fibre composite material to do so, it is widely used in railway infrastructure, among other applications. In addition to its non-combustibility, fi:resist offers further application benefits: the material is lightweight, stable, mechanically highly resilient, resistant to heat, corrosion and UV radiation, electrically non-conductive, permeable to radio signals, and has low thermal conductivity. Since March 2025, fi:resist superstructures such as platforms, walkways in the track areas, railings, and handrails have also been approved by the German Federal Railway Authority (EBA) – an important prerequisite for the German market and a strong signal for international recognition.

At the UITP Summit, fisco will also present its modular ramp systems made of fibre composite material. The systems compensate for height differences and bridge the gap between the edges of the train or bus platforms and the passenger compartments of public transport vehicles. This ensures that people with reduced mobility have safe, independent and convenient access to and from underground, urban rail, tram and bus services. Made of glass fibre composite material, the complete systems excel in accessibility, durability, resilience and functionality, offering flexible and efficient use. Their modular design allows for easy adaptation to different structural conditions, as well as customer and project requirements, and user needs – quickly and efficiently. The ramps are certified barrier-free in accordance with DIN 18040 and meet building material class Bfl-s1 in accordance with DIN EN 13501-1 – meaning they are flame-retardant with low smoke development.

“In addition to showcasing our fibre composite innovations, our stand team looks forward to discussing our comprehensive services, which support customers with projects worldwide – from the initial idea to development and production to on-site support,” says Günther Hirt. “We guarantee personalized and professional assistance. As part of the fischer Group of Companies, we provide system solutions for the railway infrastructure, utilizing fischer fixing technology, and further strengthen customer proximity trough 50 operational fischer companies worldwide.”
