The German Toy Award has been presented on an annual basis to new, innovative, high-quality toys of educational value for over twenty years. Around 50 products in various categories are assessed each year before the voting and evaluation stage. Five fischertechnik construction kits have been nominated for awards in various categories this year. 

The sustainable Animal Friends and Early Coding construction kits have been nominated for the Toys and Technology category. The Animal Friends building blocks and packaging largely consist of renewable resources and features models depicting playful animals in new colours. Animal Friends received the industry’s prestigious Toy Award even before its market launch. The Toy Fair’s new award is an internationally recognised award presented by a qualified jury of experts.
fischertechnik’s Early Coding construction kit provides simple robot programming for children as young as five. The fun fantasy robots are easy to assemble and even easier to programme and control. 

The Junior Engineer construction kit has meanwhile been nominated for the German Toy Award in the category titled For the Youngest. Children aged five and above can build twelve different models such as a solar helicopter, a lunar vehicle and a solar boat. 

fischertechnik’s Marble Competition and Build Your Own Game construction kits are nominees in the For me and my Friends category. These construction kits are fischertechnik’s first models that allow multiple people to play at the same time. Imaginative marble runs for thrilling races can be built with Marble Competition. The Build Your Own Game construction kit allows you to build eight board and skill games. Add fun to family evenings with a wheel of fortune, labyrinth, roulette or table top skittles. 

Both the Marble Competition and Build Your Own Game construction kits have been nominated for a Top 10 Toys Award, which is presented shortly before Christmas. The award-winning products are selected by the German Association of Toy and Game Retailers (BVS) together with the Top 10 Toys jury panel.
