The new fischertechnik STEM Simple Machines construction kit allows the laws of physics to be discovered by touch. Mechanical functions are revealed while building the simple machines. Measure forces and verify experiments with the fischertechnik spring scale. The construction kit is suitable for secondary school pupils.

The fischertechnik STEM Simple Machines construction kit is packed full of the laws of physics. The construction kit covers topics such as cables and rods, levers, pulleys and inclined planes, which serve as the basis for various tools and machines. In addition to mechanical functions such as differential gears, exciting models from pupils’ everyday lives are examined up close for that wow effect, such as the mechanics of a vice or a hoist. The results of the practical experiments can be measured and verified with the self-assembled spring scale.

fischertechnik’s STEM Simple Machines construction kit can be used to build 14 models out of 345 components, including cable pulleys, cogwheels, pivots and threads. Accompanying educational material is available online and contains assignments and their respective solutions in addition to an overview of learning objectives, how long assignments take as well as the respective curriculum references for each of Germany's federal states. Secondary school lessons can therefore be given a playful, targeted upgrade with the construction kit without requiring a great deal of preparation. 

The components and educational material are stored in a sturdy storage box with clear compartments that allow the components to be quickly and easily sorted and put away.
