Construction industry gathers under the banner of lean management

Networking and best practice at fischer Consulting

fischer Consulting invited representatives of the construction industry to the second customer forum in the northern Black Forest. The agenda included keynote speeches on the opportunities of increasing productivity and quality through lean management as well as the “zero-defects construction site”. The consultancy firm’s event offered a platform for networking and the transfer of knowledge. Best practice tours of fischer’s manufacturing facilities were a particular highlight. As part of the fischer Group of Companies, which includes the renowned fixing products, fischer Consulting provided participants with a crossover into the construction industry.
The fischer Consulting advisors are familiar with uncertainty when it comes to complex projects. The consultancy firm supports companies and medium-sized enterprises in particular on their path of change towards lean processes in a volatile and digital age. With its knowledge of the fischer ProcessSystem developed in-house, fischer Consulting helps its customers to organise their processes in a lean manner while adapting to current conditions.

Both fischer Consulting consultants and satisfied customers gave speeches on previous relevant experiences in the construction and construction supply industry at the customer forum at the headquarters in Waldachtal. The keen listeners were given examples of improving productivity and quality and for increasing competitiveness. The presentations on introducing lean management and the speech on 5S on the construction site were also met with rapturous applause. The event was concluded with a presentation of the “zero-defects construction site” approach. The best practice tour through production provided another highlight while focusing on transfer opportunities in the construction industry.

The exclusive network meeting in April 2019 was a successful sequel following the highly successful pilot event two years ago. Decision-makers from almost 20 different companies exchanged experiences and drew inspiration: “We received plenty of ideas and will now try to adapt several topics to our organisation”, said the participant Andreas Heckhausen from the company Vollack GmbH & Co. KG.

Suggestions also came in a digital format: the myCraftnote tradespeople app was showcased at a stall. fischer’s startup has successfully been presenting its digital solution on the market since 2018.

fischer Consulting will continue to offer exchange platforms in future for industry experts and companies interested in lean management.
