Honorary Professor Honorary Senator mult. Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Klaus Fischer

Owner, CEO of the Holding and Chairman of the Advisory Board of the fischer Group of Companies

For over 40 years Honorary Professor Honorary Senator mult. Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Klaus Fischer has stood at the head of the fischer Group of Companies. Under his management, fischer developed from a medium-sized company with a strong focus on Germany and plastic plugs to a globally-active company. fischer was expanded to become the European market leader in fastening technology and the world market leader for anchors – with a constantly growing range of products. Strong competence was built up in chemical fixings and steel anchors through the acquisition of the major competitors in Germany, Upat GmbH & Co. (Emmendingen), and ROCCA Bauchemie GmbH + Co. (Denzlingen). Prof. Klaus Fischer has also consistently driven internationalisation by founding and purchasing subsidiaries and further expanding production sites in Europe, Asia and America. By taking on the new divisions of fischer Automotive (high quality vehicle interiors) and fischer Consulting (process consultation) he has expanded the commercial base of the Group of Companies.

In 1987 Prof. Klaus Fischer introduced the fischer philosophy which defines the company’s aim and its values which are binding for all those employed by the company: innovative, responsible, respectable. He identified the need for new organisational structures and management methods early on. He developed his own philosophy for the improvement of all company processes and the elimination of waste (fischer ProcessSystem) according to the Japanese Kaizen ideas (continuous improvement). In 2007 Prof. Klaus Fischer received the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class for his dedication to in-house and external apprenticeships and further training programmes.
